Sun, May 25, 2008 - 2:53 AMI found the kits at Mr. S to be more expensive and with less accessories than at violetwands.net , but i have heard that violet wands are in short supply, too, so if you want expediency I bet Mr. S is the way to go. I was sad to learn that if I were to buy a violet wand from the US it would cost me a great deal of taxes and duty have it shipped to me here in Canada. :(

Robert Huse and Sons has supplied wands and accessories for a number of years. I have had a violet wand from him for three years. It was expensive (I bought a whole kit for $450) but has given me and quite a few subs some great experiences.

there was another company, with some guy named Jack (I think). when I was messaging with the two companies, prior to purchase, I didn't get a very friendly impression from the Jack guy, so I stuck with Violet Wanda, at the link above.

Mon, July 14, 2008 - 1:57 PMI too am in the market for a Wand. I'd like to see a demo on its use first though. Society of Janus had a demo at The Citedel in May, but I was unable to make it. I think Daddy Darin did the demo. Any other demo's / classes on the Wands coming up in the Bay Area?
Also, in browsing Yahoo Groups on wands, I came upon a group that was all about bashing EE, due to EXTREMELY long shipping times. I realize some folks just like to bitch and moan, but on the flip side, for > $500, I do want my money's worth without hassles from someone reputable. Suggestions? Basically, I'm looking for a kit that contains at least the wand, the probe that lets you hold on to it, so your finger tips can conduct the spark, the lightbulb attachment, the drum, the wartenberg wheel, and other metal accessories (don't need all the extra light bulb attachments).
I'm also curious about the new probe that can be inserted. I don't get it... I thought once contact has been made, then there is no more spark. What is the appeal of this beastie then?

Sat, July 18, 2009 - 12:51 AMMichael, the internal probe is not sensation free. It has a low spark stream. When inserted, there is enough variation in flesh surface internally to provide some sensation, warming, tingling etc. I understand that the lower settings for the internal electrode by Eclectic Electric (violetwanda, etc, www.violet-wands.com or her store hosted at www.violetwands.net are necessary for internal play. They are the only ones that make internal electrodes and some of the things you can do with it while its inserted are pretty wicked (like making the current come through other places that you touch.)
EE did have a long shipping time for a while! The ex-chairman of the violet wand guild where they hosted their store locked them out ..some political ugliness..but resolved and a new chairman. Everything I've ordered in the past few months up to recently has been just a few days. I've always been happy with them since I like the variety in colors and and strength of their electrodes. I've had the pleasure of meeting them when I was out on the east coast for a big fetish event.

I'll be doing a two part Electrical intensive at the Citadel in San Francisco on September 6th--Beginning and Advanced. I'll be covering Violet Wands as well as TENS and other devices.

Sun, July 5, 2009 - 7:31 AMI always get mine from Eclectic Electric. They have a store space at www.violetwands.net, but they are different people. Ive been getting from Eclectic Electric for about 10 years now. I admire collecting the old antique violet rays, but they dont do everything I personally need a violet wand for. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with Eclectic Electric; their quality and value for what you pay for a new violet wand is hands down the best, imo. I did have one glitch with an order from them about a year and a half ago, but all was fixed.
The Jack guy I think you're thinking of is electrojack; he went out of business at least 5 years ago.
