I ran across this article, "Ohio teacher burned cross on kids' arms" at www.breitbart.com/article.php and I thought I'd pass it on to like minded kinky folk.

In the article the part that said, "...(he) used a science tool known as a high-frequency generator to burn images of a cross on students' arms...". Knowing things like school budgets, 'science tools', descriptive terms and such, I knew he was doing this using a Violet Wand.

You know from my classes and play, I sometimes do temporary branding using the Lightning Hands technique and a dental pick. This produces a concentrated, hot spark that can leave a fine line, second degree burn that'll last any where from 3 days to 3 weeks (others' results may vary). You can do this branding in any desired pattern such as initials, or ...a cross.

It winds up that the Ohio teacher is also one of these fundie christians. And he's not even kinky. What a waste!

At any rate, hope you enjoy the irony.

    • oooh! that reminds me! i am going to upload a pic of my hubby's first attempt at branding with the dental pick on my butt. he tried doing a "C" . I LOVE VW branding!

It is crazy that a teacher would do that. Wow. Crazy story.

Im crazy about violetwand branding too. You can get such intricate detail and you don't have to worry about closing off areas of skin like you have to with regular branding. And if you repeat the design over time, you can get it pretty much permanent, which suits me just fine. I had a wand company build me a whole vw branding kit after they gave one away to the violet wand guild as a promotion. It came with various branding tips, stencils, tracing pencils, and a long hand-held cable you could insert electrodes into--really frees up your movement. Had to have one myself.
