People who kill E-Toys

This is prompted by actually running across such a person. I originally thought such folk were urban legends, but apparently there are people who in receiveing E-play actually either destroy or at least incapacitate the E-play toy used on them. And apparently some of them also have non-contact adverse effects on electric household appliances such as light bulbs, or electric clocks and watches.

Such people are fortunately extremely rare. In the 100 or so people I've personally done E-play with, I've only run across one. And when you factor in the nearly 1000 E-players I know, there's still only one ...that I know of. Thus the reason for this post.

What I'd like to hear from everyone is if you know of any such people from your personal experience or that of a trusted friend. If you can let me know of some of the details that you witnessed or experienced without giving actual names or incriminating details of course. The reason I'm asking is to try to get a rough handle on at least the number that may exist. Also I can start accumulating a catalog of observed effects. This would be helpful in a study on this subject. Once a rough number and/or a rough catalog of effects starts evolving which, in turn, helps suggest a more developed study(ies).

Please don't get me wrong. Certainly--like the person that sparked this post--are really nice folk. They are not maliciously or purposely trying to defeat E-Play. And certainly E-Play is not the only joy in my toy bag. Impact play is also one of my favorites, so if E-play won't work with a partner, then out comes the floggers and canes. There's always more than one way to have a good scene. And I'm not looking for ginny-pigs for experiments either. The field is too immature at present to suggest any meaningful experiment designs.

So I'd like to hear from others about this. This will help make E-Play better for everyone.

i don't know if i'm one of those people or not. i've certainly never had any problem with appliances or fixtures, but recently i decommissioned one fairly new and another brand-new electrical toy.

the fairly new was a baton and it had never been touched to me in the "on" position, until the time that it malfunctioned. it ended up in the trash.

the brand new was a 1,000,000 volt stun gun and it zapped me once, then failed to work - and was returned.

i really don't think it was me, but this does seem an awful coincidence. i have been zapped by other stunners with no ill effects on me or the *a-hem* toys.

Unc, if it happens again, would you like to see the decommissioned pieces? could you tell anything by examining them?

    thank you,

I've never killed an E-Toy, but I've not used the E-Stim stuff much, frankly. I am however one of those watch killers, until digital came out, and I have been known to zap video cards I was trying to put into a computer.

I've actually had my skin tested for resistance to electricity, and a surprising discovery was made - not only is my skin fairly resistant to electricity - my body holds a much higher electrical charge than the average person. It's not that I give off electricity, I hoard it until a very proper conductor becomes available, like something metal.

So my guess is that these are similar types of folks - their skin is fairly resistant to electricity, so instead of discharging harmless voltage with everything they touch, the electricity stays in the body, captured by the skin, until the proper stimuli is applied.

Never killed an e-toy, but this might be related.

Back a couple of decades when I was a tweaker (meth head), I was convinced that certain streetlights were going out whenever, or nearly whenever I went under them, either by foot or by car. Now streetlights go out all the time, they go out and recharge or something. I'm talking about the high pressure sodium (orange-ish) lights widely in use. At that time I wrote it off to just being tweaked, as I don't usually fly off on flights of fancy.

But as it kept happening (still does, a lot) long after I quit putting strange chemicals into my brain, my theory on it became that it happens to everyone, but I was simply more aware of it, noticed it more than most people due to my previous experience when I was high on speed.

Then one day my ex wife came home from work and said the woman in the cubicle next to hers told her that her husband was convinced of the same thing, he was sure that these HPS lights often went out when he traveled underneath him. She assured my ex that he had never had a serious drug problem.

I kind of forgot about it, until a few years ago I was flipping channels and saw some show, can't remember what it was, one of those psuedo-science shows, probably, about people in England who were convinced of the same thing, and they called them 'scanners', like in the horror movie, I believe.

Then about 2 months ago I was watching the National Geographic channel do a thing on lightning, and apparently this belief, or perception, is very high among survivors of lightning strikes.

It's one of those things I try not to think about as I notice street lights go out as I go under them. I've never affected a watch or an e-toy that I know of, but there are several different photographs of my father with a bright streak, or flash, where his head should be. Perhaps the two are unrelated. I have no idea. I also don't know if any empirical studies have been done on this streetlight thing. I think they mentioned on that National Geographic show that no one has tried to verify it, at least at that point.

Your mileage may vary, in which case get your odometer checked, your electrical field may have affected it.

All I can say is in 42years as an engineer and electro-mechanical tech, I am sure that they exist. There are people who can walk up to a machine and it breaks down won't work kick it's legs in the air ect,,, only for it to work prefectly for another person. I agree these people usually have no idea they poses this extra ordinary super power. I have removed operators from machines because of this effect they have.
Nothing against women in any way but it happened to be a woman in both instances. My experience with this is in the semiconductor industry in test and sort. This is where we test wafers before there sliced and diced to be package into the parts that make products.
What we found is that these people have high skin resistance and build up high esd's or Electro Static Discharges that cause damage to diode junctions in devices and or barried insulators (oxide layers). In other words just blast the electronic into next week. Machines simply go down freeze up run away ect,,,

So haven't run into you in about five years. Guess I need to get out more.

    So ya it's real.

I don't kill them instantly, but they die a lot quicker than usual. i burn out cell batteries in about 6 months. I kill watches in a few months, literally cooking them. I get the burn marks on my skin if metal it touching my skin. My skin always feels cold so it's not from being a high temperature person. I shock myself on everything. The worst was a jewelry case that shocked me so hard that my shoulder popped out of place. I even manage to shock myself on rocks and rubber. How ever I can use wood as a ground.
I have a friend that carries a magnet in her back pocket because other wise every time she walked by a computer she wiped it clean. She gave up carrying a cell phone because it wouldn't stay programmed. But she never got shocked excessively.

Not sure how we conduct electricity different but it there is definitely a difference in the energy waves that we were conducting.
